Beginning in April of 2010 the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will begin enforcing any contractor hired to remodel,
renovate, repair, and/or paint a home, child care facility, and school built before 1978, that disturbs lead-based paint
needs to be certified and has to follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination.
