Projects
Below are just a few of the projects INECO has completed:
- Vieques WWTP - $500,000
The Waste Water Treatment Plant for the island of Vieques, east of PR.
In 1988 INECO supplied the equipment and was sub-contracted to do the mechanical installations and the start-up.
- Aibonito WFP - $1,762,000
This water filtration plant supplies drinking water for some towns in the center of Puerto Rico.
In 1989 INECO supplied all the equipment and was sub-contracted to do the mechanical installations and the start-up.
- Airport Lagoon Aeration System - $335,343
1990 - St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands
- Lares WWTP - $1,836,836
This Waste Water Treatment Plant receives domestic wastewater from some towns in the center of Puerto Rico.
In 1992-94 INECO supplied the equipment and was sub-contracted to the mechanical installations and the start-up.
- Columbus Landing SWPS - $800,000
This Storm Water Pump Station is located in the city of Mayaguez, PR.
INECO supplied and installed three 248 HP FLYGT submersible propeller pumps, two FLYGT submersible centrifugal pumps and two 7.5' x 26.6' continuous self-cleaning bar screen. INECO also performed the start-up.
- Sergio Cuevas WTP Sludge Handling Facility - $5,343,820*
The Sludge Dewatering Facility for the 120 MGD Regional Water Treatment Plant in San Juan, PR
In 1995-96 INECO supplied the equipment and was sub-contracted to do the mechanical installations, the start-up, and to operate the facility for two years.

- Quebradas WTP - $1,875,000
The Quebradas 2 MGD Water Treatment Plant in Camuy PR supplies water for some of the towns along the north coast of Puerto Rico.
In 1998 INECO supplied the clarifiers, filters, controls, and did the start-up for the equipment supplied.
During the first year of operation, the Water Authority of Puerto Rico watched as the effluent quality satisfied not only the present EPA standards, but even the future EPA effluent turbidity requirements of 0.3 NTU. This technology has become the new standard for the treatment of river water in Puerto Rico.
Today it continues to give the same excellent performance with minimal maintenance.
- Super Aqueduct WTP (Influent Pump Station and North Coast Distribution System) - $1,500,000
The Super Aqueduct was designed to supply potable water to the north coast of Puerto Rico and also the Metropolitan area when necessary.
INECO supplied and installed the six influent 2,200 HP pumps and supplied close to 40 vertical turbine pumps for the distribution of water from the Super Aqueduct along the north coast of Puerto Rico.
- Miradero WTP (Sludge Dewatering Facility) - $10,400,000*
This is the Sludge Dewatering Facility for the 80 MGD Miradero Regional Water Treatment Plant in Mayaguez, PR. Even though the capacity of the plant is 80 MGD, it produces the same amount of solids as the Sergio Cuevas WTP (120 MGD) in San Juan.
INECO supplied and installed all the equipment, mechanical and electrical, for the facility and will operate the same during a minimum of two years.

- Cidra WTP - $8,550,000*
The Cidra 7 MGD Water Treatment Plant in Cidra, PR utilizes the same technology as the Quebradas WTP in Camuy, PR and will provide excellent drinking water to some of the towns located on the central-eastern part of the island.
INECO is supplying all the equipment for the Water Treatment Plant and the Sludge Dewatering Facility. INECO is also responsible for the mechanical installations and start-up of the equipment.
