Pharma-Bio acquires assets and operations in Puerto Rico

compliance and consulting services provider to the health sciences
industry, announced on Wednesday the acquisition of the operations and
assets of Puerto Rico-based Integratek Corp. through its wholly owned
subsidiary Pharma-Bio Serv PR, Inc.
Integratek provides
services such as web page design and portals development, digital art
design, intranets, extranets, software development including database
integration, windows and web applications development, point of sales,
help desk and support, software technical training and learning
management systems, cabling and telecommunication systems
installations, technology project management, inventory management
systems, and compliance consulting services for the Sarbanes-Oxley Act,
the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) and
Control Objectives for Information and related Technology (COBIT)
audits.
Integratek is a Microsoft Certified Partner and a
reseller for technology products from leading vendors in the market
like Cisco, Nortel, IBM, Dell, Hewlett Packard, Symantec, Fortinet and
many others.
“We were attracted to Integratek’s service
portfolio to allow us to diversify our current offering to our
clients,” said Elizabeth Plaza, Pharma-Bio President and Chief
Executive Officer. “The industry’s outsourcing needs are focusing on
those companies that are capable of offering a full range of services,
in bundle packages. Integratek’s capabilities offer the opportunity to
expand our customer portfolio to other industries.”
According
to Plaza, the acquisition represents a positive step in Pharma-Bio’s
vision and strategic goals to expand its business markets and services
provided on a global basis.

operations, could further expand its competitive advantage,” Plaza
added.
