	El pasado 24 de septiembre de 2009 la Agencia de Protección Agencia conocida por sus siglas en ingles EPA Región 2, emitió un comunicado [Presiona aquí para ver el comunicado] a todos los operadores y dueños de facilidades sobre Concreto premezclado, piedra triturada, arena y grava. La EPA anunció la evaluación (inspecciones) de estas facilidades para determinar si se encuentran en cumplimiento con las regulaciones federales de aguas de escorrentías y otras ambientales. Es de su atención que muchas facilidades de concreto premezclado, piedra triturada, arena y grava no se encuentran en total cumplimiento con las regulaciones ambientales. Mayormente en estas facilidades no cumplen con las regulaciones de aguas pluviales. Si la EPA visita su propiedad y encuentra que la misma no cumple con los requerimientos de las regulaciones ambientales deberá cumplir con una multa monetaria. Una violación al Clean Water Act repercuta en $37,500 por día. Su propiedad esta en cumplimiento si ha leído he aplicado los requerimientntos del permiso general para aguas de escorrentías, desarrolla un “Storm Pollution Prevention Plan” completado por un profesional e implementarlo en la facilidad y someter un Notice of Intent (NOI) para cumplimiento con el permiso general de escorrentías aplicable.
